Burkitt (Theo), born in England, who immigrated to Canada early 1900's. Patriarch to Burkitt Family of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. Depicts history of early Vancouver Island, military service, politics and family life from a personal point of view. Hand typed. Handwritten greetings on title page read "To Marjorie and Gerry With Best Wishes", presumably written by the author. A nice clean copy with sound binding..
