The book is an important addition to the Earp controversy." Together with Volume II: WYATT EARP 1879 TO 1882. THE MAN & THE MYTH. A SEQUEL TO "THE UNTOLD STORY." Toyahvale: Frontier Book Company, 1964. First edition. 8vo. Cloth, 335 pp., chronological bibliography, portraits, plates. Fine in dust jacket, sunned on the spine, light wear to spine ends, corners and with a tiny chip to top edge of rear cover. Six Guns 157 says, "The second volume of the author's study of Wyatt Earp, dealing with his Arizona years. Many of the outlaws of that period are also discussed, among them Dave Rudabaugh, Jesse Evans, Russian Bill, Frank Stillwell, Pete Spence, Johnny Ringo, Frank Leslie, Kit Joy, the Clantons, and the McLaurys." In a back pocket there is a typewritten letter on Frontier Book Company stationary dated June 30, 1958, SIGNED by Bartholomew. This two volume set is one of the major works on Earp and has become scarce, especially so in the hardback.
