Grosset & Dunlap, 1928-01-01. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good. Hardcover with scarce DJ, 1928 copyright (actually printed around 1940 - see description) Grosset & Dunlap 216 pages plus 4 pages of ads for other boys series. Very Good+, in a VG DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to Red cloth boards with black titles - corners sharp, one small dent to the top edge of the front panel. Minor shelf/edge wear, a touch of dust soiling and minor chipping to original DJ - now in mylar. Green topstain. Gift inscription on FFEP. Endpaper illustrations by J. Clemens Gretta. Book illustrations by Walter S. Rodgers. Sixth of 21 of adventures of brothers Roy and Teddy Manley in the NEW West, 1926-1941. This copy has a 1928 date but the ads at the rear of the book date this to be circa 1940. Last title in this series on the first ad page (and DJ flap) is The X Bar X Boys in the Haunted Gully which was printed in 1940. Nice copy in original DJ. Mattson #65400.LOC SSS-09
