A limited edition copy of this rich history of the XVth (The King's) Hussars, with plates and maps. A limited, leather bound copy of this extensive work. Only two hundred and fifty copies of this edition were printed in this form, with this volume being number thirty four. The XVth King's Hussars was a cavalry regiment in the British Army which was first raised in 1759 and saw service over two centuries including during the First World War. The regiment fought during the Napoleonic Wars, Peterloo and was stationed in Ireland, India, Afghanistan and South Africa during the Victorian era. This extensive volume gives a history of this regiment. With thirty one plates and three maps, one of which is folding. Collated, complete. In full morocco binding. Externally, smart. The front joint is beginning to loosen but remains generally firm. Some rubbing to the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with some scattered spots to the odd page. Very Good
