About This Item
A good first edition copy of Thorpe's collection of popular Yule tales and traditions. Pages are generally clean and bright. This was owned by folklorist and author Ruth Manning-Sanders and she has inscribed her name on title page. There are a few light pencil notes in the text which are assumed to be hers and so have been left (eminently removable if desired). Front and back hinges have some semi-detachment, although spine binding remains tight. A few of the advertising pages at the end have come loose. Front and rear inside boards have residue of brown tape presumably used to fix a now removed protective cover. Rest of book seems fine though a little care may be needed. Covers are very good. Pages uncut. See all photos - we don't use stock photos, all pictures are of the actual edition for sale
