I have been a quilting teacher for many years and this is the book I use in my classes. It is the only comprehensive book about techniques and about all the tips and tricks you need to know to be a successful quilter. One of my classes is called "Thread Fun" and every technique I teach in that six hour class is in here along with advice about atabilizers, thread choice, how to buy a sewing machine, tension, etc. I thought I would have to write my own book until I found this one! In that class I teach bobbin drawing, couching, using metallic thread and a host of other thread techniques. I even learned something myself---how to make circles with my sewing machine without having to buy an expensive gadget. It is one of the most fun techniques I have ever taught! Every article is written by a famous quilter who is an expert in that particular techniques. The book is all I need to teach that class and I recommend it to beginners and experienced quilters alike.
