A novel that literally teaches you how to read it as you go on. It's experimental fiction but with a real heart and brain behind it. A truly unique reading experience.

John Grisham said about this eccentric novel, "Mesler not only has an ear for what we say but, more importantly, for how we say it."

This is not just as good as fantasy fiction gets but fiction in general. A gorgeous book.

Markson's work is always wonderful, compelling, funny and smart. This book is something else altogether. Like all great books it teaches you how to read it as you read. It also may change your idea of what a novel is. It is his crowning achievement--and, God help me, he should be a household name--a true modern masterpiece. Simply, it's the best thing I've read in a long time.
