This is the second volume of literary criticism by Powell to be published by Univ. of Chicago. It will delight all card-carrying anglophiles like myself, who thrive on British writers of the first half of the 20th century. He is painfully class-conscious, and overly dedicated to correcting errata in the books he reviews, but with that said, his take on the writers and literature of his time is erudite, efficient, provocative, candid, and always entertaining! Terrific stuff.
