Harrison; This is largely a practical book on the shooting of partridge, pheasant, wildfowl & lesser game. The author introduces a good deal of his own very wide experience by the way. In the introduction he states that "the sport of shooting consists of much more than the mere killing of birds" & allows that his notebook, which records items of interest both seen & heard in the open country, is far more intriguing than his game book. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 202 pages. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Slight foxing to page edges. Dust Jacket has damp stains to spine & edges with wear to spine ends & corners, but is otherwise intact, with both flaps. Dust Jacket un-clipped. Gilt titles spine, white titles front.
