About This Item

N.p.: N.p., 1985. Collection of four scripts for an unproduced film, including one Revised Second Draft script dated October, 1984, one Draft script dated February 17, 1985, one First Draft script dated March 4, 1985, and one Revised Draft script dated May, 1985. Draft script and Revised Second Draft with manuscript annotations throughout, noting editorial revisions.

A mystery adventure set in New York, about a wealthy author of mystery and crime novels who challenges a man and a woman (the "players") to a game called "Whereabouts," offering a substantial sum of money in exchange for finding the other player first, without using advertising or mass communication. The players are unaware, however, that the author is monitoring their moves in the game, in hopes of finding inspiration for his latest book.

Two screenplays credited to noted screenwriters Jim Cash and Jack Epps, Jr., who would go on to write a number of successful action and crime films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including "Top Gun" (1986), "Turner and Hooch" (1989), "Dick Tracy" (1990), and "Anaconda" (1997).
