About This Item

Colombo: Tisara Prakasakayo, 1930. 1973 Reprint. Paperback. Very Good. Based on research carried out just before World War I, this book by a Professor of Charles University, Prague, remains a classic on which much subsequent work on the subject has been based. The book is divided into four parts I - Non-Masked Dancing Ceremonies, II - Sinhalese Masks and the Use of Demon Dancing, III - Kolam-Natima & IV - Yakun-Natima. 142 pages with an index and 35 black and white plates. Weight 0.5kg. Post free within Malaysia The cover has a little bit of rubbing. The inside front cover has a shadow where the design on the front has bled through. The binding is tight, the text is clear and there is minimal tanning throughout. A nice copy.
