Bound in half calf with brown cloth binding. Externally sound with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Front board detached, rear joint starting but firm. Acceptable - First Edition quarter leather binding with marbled boards and five recessed cords on the spine and rough cut pages, xvi, 319 pages. A lot of wear to the extremities of the boards, head and tail of the leather spine is frayed and thinning at the outer hinge of the front board, front paste down has been partially removed (exposing hand writing underneath), previous owners name on the ffep with a hand written description of the work, pages are mildly tanned, binding is reasonable but for the week hinge of the front board, light annotation on a few pages, fully paginated with all the pages present and correct.
