First edition, first printing of Some Old Wiltshire Homes With Short Notices on their Architecture, History, and Associations illustrated and written by S. John Elyard. A scarce edition. Includes twenty-six monochrome plates with tissue guards except where the guards are missing for two of the plates.This book of sketches and notes includes contents such as Sheldons near Chippenham, Bradfield, and Cadenham House Foxham.  In cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine is slightly worn. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with occasional spotting. The tissue guards are present and intact with the exception of the two missing tissue guards. Very Good
