Very Good. 16mo, 254, [ii] pages, red cloth, bevelled edges, frayed at head of spine; ex libris Josephine Morison on blank page Presents 13 episodes in the Indian Wars, from Forsyth's Fight to Fetterman, to the Canby Massacre, re-cast from the official reports: "They have been elaborated, however, by confirmatory information of a reliable character - Preface." Gen. Fry is quite reasonable and sympathetic to the plight of the Natives, and suggests a plan to resolve the amalgamation of the reds with the whites. [ Howes F399; Graff 1458; Soliday I:876].
