Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with moderate foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards have been heavily rub worn with heavy shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a heavily frayed and spine ends are crushed, with some small splits and chips. Considerable surface tears and loss to both ends of spine. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Boards are notably bowed. Book has a prominent forward lean. Moderate water marks to boards and spine.

Hardcover, green cloth boards still have sharp corners with only minimal where to the tips and spine edges. There is a small stain in the lower right corner of the front board, spine shows sunning, and there are additional smudge marks on the rear board. The internal binding is good, no hinge cracks. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings etc. Pages are toned due to age and type of paper used. Both end pages and pastedowns do show tanning and foxing, which is also fed over to the half title page. This was originally published in 1904 under the title Sværmere (Dreamers) and was later translated from the Norwegian by W. Worster - of which this book states opposite the title page. There is no publication date in the book but the English edition was reportedly released in 1921.
