Philadelphia: privately published, 1911. Limted Edition. Hardcover. Good. Author Irving Bachellor's copy. Privately published account of hunting trip taken by the Johnson and four friends, with two guides in 1908 in the "Califoirnia mountains". Limited edition of an unknown number but this copy numbered 70 under the author's name under which is the presentation inscription from Reeves to popular author Bachellor: "Mr Irving Bachellor/ from /Eldridge R. Johnson/ Marian Pa/ 1916". Bacheller's bookplate in the verso of the free front endpaper. Elaborately bound in full, tightly cross-hatched leather (no binder's signature), covers blind-ruled with gilt designs in the four corners, more gilt spine. Cover rectos are full leaather, git ruled, with centered, marbled leather rectangular on-lay, it gilt-pressed too. Moire-silk endpapers, aeg. 41 pages, printed on rectos only, with 4 photogravure plates with tissue guards printed with captions. Pages slightly toned, some spotting to the tissue guards.… Read More
