Collection of six children's stories featuring The Brownies, wee folk first popularized by Palmer Cox in the 1880s. Also included is a collection of poems for children by Miss Mulock. A tight, very good copy, modest fade to the edges of the cloth. In the rather scarce plain brown, black lettered dust jacket which has wear at the tips and spine ends.

The tissue guard protecting the colour frontispiece is still in place. The illustrated brown covers are in good condition, with a small red stain on the bottom of the front cover, and heavier wear to the spine. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition.
