First edition of Amid Snowy Wastes, Wild Life on the Spitsbergen Archipelago by Seton Gordon in the original publisher's pictorial cloth binding. Densely illustrated with photography by the author. Seton Gordon was a Scottish naturalist and photographer. He mainly explored and captured the highlands of Scotland.With sixty three monochrome plates containing one hundred and fourteen photographs and two maps, one of which is folding. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some fading to the cloth to the spine and the top edge of the front board. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot. Good
