At least one reviewer has claimed that the book has echoes of Conrad. Unusually,for the time, the author's respect for Bornean culture is more pronounced than most of his contemporaries. Good Hardback. First Edition 255 pages. Weight: 0.5 kg Post free within Malaysia The cover is stained in places. There is a previous owner's name written on the inside front cover. A previous owner has corrected in light pencil perceived errors in transliterating non-English words at various points in the book. The binding is tight, text clear and there is mild tanning throughout.
