Philadelphia: H. M. Snyder,, 1880. No Binding. Near Fine. Original map measuring 6.75" x 9.75" plus text titles and margins. A classic attributed to H. N. Turner in 1880. Printed on light map stock as was inserted into several books on the White Mountains during that era, likely from Eastman's or Osgood's. Very Good+ with several publisher fold/creases and one poorly trimmed edge. Image area complete and nice looking, ready to frame. Photos available.

1890. No Binding. Near Fine. Map of the White Mountains. Advertising brochure of the new Mount Pleasant House, "The nearest hotel to the Mount Washington, which is in Plain view from base to summit."This sheet contains on the back an unrecorded version of a very early Birds-eye view of the White Mountains copyright 1880 by H. N. Turner. It was used later (early 1900's) used in several brochures for "Automobile Gala Week in the White Mountains". It measures 9 1/8 inches wide by 8 1/4 inches tall. Minor edgewear. Folding seem splits at the top and bottom. Right and Left edges may have been trimmed to fit an album or other such archiving, though all pertinant information seems to be there. Photographs of the Mount Pleasant house, and the Carzon trail up Mount Stickney which was behind Mount Pleasant House. Few closed tears along central fold, larger tear repaired, small holes at folds, a little light browning. Measures 19.5 cm x 9.5 cm when folded and 38.7 cm x 54 cm when open. Bird's eye view map of the region around Tokyo, showing places where the residents of the city can go for healthy one, two or three day trips. The map, published by the Tokyo Nichi Nichi Newspaper in 1939, highlights hot springs, golf courses, beaches, parks, fishing areas, mountains, shrines, and ski areas. Walker Litho., 1925. No Binding. Fine. Third edition published in 1925. Colored with shaded tones of light blue to darker blue hues & white coloring for streets, homes, businesses and some clouds. A very nice birds-eye view of the lake and surrounding towns, also Squam (Asquam) lakes, Meredith Bay, etc. About Fine condition with a small closed & professionally repaired along a fold on top edge. Many of the more prominant mountains have been horizontally titled with small medium blue cursive lettering, not original yet not unappealing either. Franckfurt am Mayn; Merian, 1670. Map. Acceptable. [1670] 35 x 27 cm. Hand colored view of Frankfurt and Sachsenhausen. Dry mounted. Trimmed close with some loss, chip loss to upper corner of plate. Spotting and tanning to edges of engraving. Later imprint of Merian's work, by his son, after his death in 1650. With engraved title, 2 coats-of-arms, ornamental cartouche with 27 listed sites of Frankfort and a wind rose.

No Binding. Near Fine. Measuring approximately 21 inches wide by 14 inches high. Original vintage frame with new backing paper. Early (originally folded) Birdseye view of Boston Harbor and neighboring surrounding areas and cities towns. Published 1871 this is an original illustration published over 145 years ago, not a modern reprint. Very good condition with a few small holes around the center top and bottom now I look closely. Somewhat animated with sailing ships and steamers in the bay, construction areas here in there what looks to be like oarsman in boats along the Charles River, lots of smaller towns and ponds, Boston and Providence railroad, Boston and Worcester railroad, Fitchburg railroad, Boston and Lowell Road, Boston and Maine railroad, eastern railroad, old colony and fall river railroad, Dorchester in Milton Road, Boston Hartford and Erie where Road, possibly a few others. London: The Graphic, 1882. First printing. Very good condition. A chromolithographic birds eye view map with Suez in the west to Damietta in the east, showing Cairo in the distance. Suez canal construction started in 1859 and was opened 1869. The British invaded Egypt on May 20th 1882 in support of the Khedive after a coup attempt, and at the time of publication of this map (September 2nd 1882), British troops were still fighting the rebels. Image size 33 x 12 1/4" (255x685mm., overall size 725x310mm), Supplement to The Graphic. Original folds, heavy paper.

Double Elephant - over 25" Wide. 1903, a First printing in Bright, Contrasty and clear duo-tone dark aqua (Blue-Green) & white colors with black titles. A Beautiful birds-eye view of the lake and surrounding towns, also Squam (Asquam) lakes, Meredith Bay, etc. It remains in about fine condition and includes the original card folder titled with Map illustration but without all of the pesky lines and info for the steamship Mt. Washington as found in successive editions. Clearly never displayed and rarely opened. Only the 1898 (Original B-E Map from which this was predominantly copied ) and the 1958 re-print edition are the same as this one.
