Signer, Charles Alleyn, was ProvincialSecretary for the Province of Canada from 1858 to 1862. Joseph Cauchonheld the post of Commissioner of Public Works for the Canadas from 1861to 1862 and in 1877 was appointed Lieutenant- Governor of Manitoba.
