Narrow quarto (280 x 110 mm), self-wrappers (featuring advertisements for Anthony Horderns' men's and women's fashion and Fine Art Gallery); [16] pp, with numerous illustrated advertisements and photographic illustrations including portraits of stars Miss Mabel Batchelor and Reg Riemenschneider, musical director Leo Grouse and Railway & Tramway Musical Society Secretary R. E. Bedwell; centre pages with full cast list; front wrapper with contemporary newspaper review of this production of ""A Country Girl"" affixed to top edge; lower wrapper with an old tape repair and loss at upper margin (no loss of text), top corners a little dog-eared, staples rusted, but internally clean and sound. Rare programme for a pre-World War One Sydney amateur theatre production. The Railway & Tramway Musical Society was established in 1894, and continued to entertain Sydney audiences with its light fare - mostly musical comedies - up until 1930. No other example traced.
