Andre Deutsch, 1996, first edition. Published in A4 format with no dustwrapper. A guide on how to create those moments of space between the arms akimbo, midfield Gallic shrug and the left-wing kicking of a racist Palace fan. Some brilliant black and white photos and some ghost-written sardine nonsense. One for the purists. Probably.

Raceform, 2004, first edition, paperback. A well-thumbed copy, by me, but otherwise fine. A very good whistle-stop tour of most of the sports that lend themselves to betting, each chapter written by an expert in that sport for the Racing Post. Doubt much is outdated - still a very useful primer for those with a thirst to learn and improve.
