Gray card covers with title printed in black and blue onto upper cover, 8vo (8-1/2 inches tall), pp. 31, index [32]. Light soil and fading to cover with sticker ghost at heel of spine, text toned. Inscribed and signed by author on ffep "Ken ..... , / from shipmate / Goodridge MacDonald / London, May 3, 1959." With a few manuscript corrections in the same ink noted. The Roberts family held a preeminent position in Canadian letters for most of the 19th century and Goodridge MacDonald also worked as an editor of The Montreal Herald.

A Christmas play set in a wealthy home with "colorful dialogue", it is attractive for both reading and acting with a cast of eighteen. Cloth backed decorative boards, title printed in green onto paste-down label, glossy illustrated endpapers, 12mo (7-3/8 inches [18.8 cm] tall), pp. (ii), 58, with "(1)" printed at foot of last page indicating a first printing. Volume with light edge wear and some small splash marks to the first few pages, else unmarked. Price-intact DJ is soiled with a few chips and small tears. Credited artwork by Clara Elsene Peck on the DJ and glossy duo-tone endpapers, [who] "... was a member of the American Watercolor Society, exhibited extensively and won many awards." Pulitzer Prize winning poet Richard Eberhart's copy of Agee's first book (with his penciled signature on the ffep and occasional light pencil notation to poems within). Permit Me Voyage is the 33rd volume in the Yale Series of Younger Poets and contains an early collection of Agee's poetry.

Grey cloth over boards, title and author image stamped in gilt and maroon onto upper board, title stamped in gilt onto spine, 8vo (7-7/16 inches tall), pp. 317, all edges trimmed, top edge gilt, author portrait frontis, title page printed in black and red, 4 illustrations [5 inc. frontis]. Volume with cover illustration lightly rubbed, wear to spine ends, spine tilt, small 1/2" piece missing at bottom of one leaf. Page 15 has a few lines taken from a letter written in French - pertaining to the story - neatly translated into English underneath. First published in Russia in 1899 and later translated by William E. Smith, this was the last novel written by Tolstoy.
