Half cloth over brown papered boards. Frontispiece, 39 pp., 17 bw plates, 34 pp., 10 plates (including 2 fold-out). The eleventh memoir of They Egypt Exploration Fund, founded in 1882 by Amelia Edwards, an Egyptologist, and Reginald Stuart Poole, a professor of archaeology. First organized to co-ordinate archaeological explorations in the Nile Valley and delta, it was supported by many leading clergymen looking for archaeological evidence of Biblical sites but became increasingly involved with the establishment of archaeology as a scientific discipline. Old Crete: arts and crafts in the Aegean cultures.

Red cloth boards with black titles. Approx. 250 pp. 100 leaves of plates and additional pages of descriptive text in two languages. A large and heavy book, oversized. Remains a nice ex-library copy. Pages have been inspected and appear clean, but, may have an errant mark, notation, etc. Pages remain fairly bright; light taning to glossier stock used for plate section. Includes 352 illustrations. Back pastedown has a navy and gilt sticker from Librairie Fischbacher of Paris.

Volume 6 of a quarterly periodical featuring American archaeology.

Both volumes: Grey wraps with black lettering. 75/93 pp. respectively. Deckle edges. No illustrations. Text in French. Preface by Albert Gabriel. 27 total articles about the archaeological history of Anatolian Turkey by authors of various nationalities, including some Turks.
