Read & Enjoy You know some of this - 1995-2005 Willie Brown." A very good copy of the 1st edition in brown and tan boards. Bumping to the ends of the spine column and minor shelf-wear. A clean and tight copy, as if unread. The dustjacket is also very good with a bit of chipping at the top folds and matching bumping at the edges of the spine panel. 350 pp., indexed, some photos. Brown's autobiography detailing his political life as San Francisco mayor.

Signed and inscribed by the author on the half-title page, "March 22, 1979 To Bill and Charlene Ebert with best wishes - Buddy Uzes." Front flap of the dustjacket confirms that the author was known as "Bud." Heavy green cloth binding with gilt spine titles, in dustjacket. The book is in very good conditoin - clean, straight, and tight as if unread. A minor lift to the front cover is the only noted flaw. The dustjacket is only good with chips and short tears at the panel edges and some scuffing to the white rear panel. 315 pp., indexed, some black and white photos and illustrations.

Signed and inscribed by the author on the free endpaper, "Bishop Mark Hurlye - To the successor of Bishop O'Connel in the counties of Del Norte, Siskiyou (crossed out), Humboldt, Mendocino, and Lake. John T. Dwyer." A good copy - blue hardcover with silver spine titles. Corners and spine ends bruised past the paper coverings. The interior is unmarked other than the author's inscription. Solid binding and hinges, though lacking tightness. The dustjacket is only fair with paper loss , tears, and tape reinforcements to the inside of the jacket. 302 pp., indexed, some black and white photos, and listings of bishops and pastors from the region. An interesting examination of Irish Bishop O'Connell and his work in the west.

A good copy but with bending to the upper corners, and some scuffing to the covers. A clean, tight copy. 141 pp., indexed, full color photos and drawings throughout. The story of the excavation to preserve as many fossils as possible in Colorado prior to a reservoir construction project.

Idaho: Caldwell Committee for the Idaho State Centennial, Caldwell, Idaho, 1990. Paperback. Good. Oblong paperback, no indication of printing. A good plus copy, but with scuffing and soiling to the light covers. General wear to the cover edges and light bending at the corners. The interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. 89 pp., filled with black and white photos detailing the town's history.

California: Olyoptics, 2005. Paperback. Good +. Signed in pencil by both authors on the title page. Gift inscription inside the front cover, not related to the author's autographs. Oblong quarto soft-cover in good+ condition. All wear is external with scuffing and a few spots of light soil to the covers and shallow bend spineward at the bottom of the front cover. Interior is clean other than aforementions, and the binding is solid as if unread. 252 pp., indexed, filled with black and white photos. A robust local history of this storied Mendocino township.

A good only copy with previous owner's name to the top of the front cover, and wear and sunning to the covers. Bending at the upper corners. The text is clean and unmarked and the staples are fim. 2 maps intact in a pocket at rear, in very good condtion, although the larger map has a crease that appears to have occurred in printing. 80 pp., bibliography, some black and white photos.

This copy apparently bound upside down with cover markings pointing the opposite direction from the text. A near fine copy with minor bending at the spine tips. Clean and tight as if unread. 98 pp., limitation page at rear. A collection of Delavan's letters back to the Michigan Expositor detailing his experiences in California during the gold rush.

A good-only copy of this title with heavy edge-wear and some scuffing to the covers. Age-toned and lightly soiled. Previous owners names on the first blank are the only markings in the book. The binding is solid, but the front edge is a bit thumbed. 84 pp., some black and white illustrations. The story of school teacher and columnist from Gustavus, known affectionately as "Ye Olde."

Tan card-stock covers with black titles and illustration, first edition. A good copy with general wear to the cover edges and corners, and some thumbing along the front textblock edge. There is a shallow bump to the bottom rear of the book. A green dot and the numbers 5-4 on the top of the title page, otherwise the text is clean and unmarked. 126 pp., two inserts of black and white photos. Pratt Jr.'s autobiographical history of life in Hawaii in the early half of the 20th century.

New York: Kraus Reprint, 1980. Reprint. Hardcover. Good. Howard Simon. Dark blue hardcover, lacking jacket. A good copy of this modern reprint, with dusting and minor soil and scuffing to the covers. Solid binding and hinges and straight corners. A bit of crimping to the spine tips. Pages are unmarked, but some of the final pages with thumbing, and a little bit of age toning. 233pp., illustrations by Howard Simon. The story of mountain man Jedediah Smith, and his travels in the Rockies, including furthering the path for the Oregon Trail.

Minor bending at the corners and a bit of dark scuffing spineward at the front cover. The interior is clean, and tight as if unread. The opening 13 pages are text, and the remaining pages are high gloss directory pages describing each monument and where to find it. Fold out map at rear. 80 pp. total.

San Francisco: Harper & Row Publishers, 1985. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Signed without personalization on the title page, "Amor a Dios! Noel Francis Maholy, O.F.M." Hardcover, 1st edition, in dustjacket. A very good copy - clean, straight, and tight. The only noticeable flaw is a raised ridge on the spine column from binding - no splits or breaks in the text. The dustjacket is not as good with chips at the panel edges, a short tear to the bottom rear panel, and a couple of long creases - still bright and attractive. 224 pp., indexed, black and white photos and illustrations throughout. A detailed history of Serra's work in the founding of the Caliifornia missions, written prior to the public controversy resulting from the destruction of native culture.

California: Published by the author, 1987. First edition thus. Paperback. Good. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, "For Molly and Bob, with love Jeannette." This is a highly personalized copy, with a typed and signed note laid in, along with a pioneer illustration postcard. A photo of the author and her husband is glued to the first blank the inscription on the photo is not quite legible through the page. On the inside of the rear cover is written the address of Dry Creek Books in Modesto who distributed Maino's books. Trade paperback in good condition, with fading to the blue covers and some bending at the corners. The binding is strong and the pages are clean. 213 numbered pages plus significant back-matter including a bibliography, and notes from the author. A novel of the Donner Party.

Previous owner's gift inscription neatly to the top of the front endpapers, including the notations, "Dad worked in the Moffet (sic) Tunnel while it was being built." Other than the inscription, the text is clean and unmarked. The binding and hinges are solid. 359 pp., indexed, mapped endpapers, filled with black and white photos. A detailed account of the Moffat Tunnel and the completion of this difficult part of the route on the Denver and Salt Lake Railway and the Denver, Northwestern & Pacific Railway lines.

Montana: Published by the author. Paperback. Fair. James Reineking. Staple-bound booklet, Signed by the author on the page facing the title page. No publication date indicated. A fair only copy with heavy wear to the edges, soiling to the covers including what looks like a ring left from a shot-glass, just for authenticity. Sticker scar to the top right corner of the rear cover. Interior is much better with pages unmarked and the staples still firmly set. the final page has some soiling and crinkling. About 50 pages, unpaginated, some black and white illustrations. A rough copy of a great local folklore collection.

Minor shelfwear to the cover edges and some scuffing to the covers. Bending at the corners and a hard bump at the bottom rear corner. Ghost of a previous bookstore price to the top of the title page appears to be the only marking in the book. A clean and well-bound copy of this title. 247 pp., indexed, black and white photos, maps and illustrations. An examination of the overland journey of the Scott-Applegate Trail.

An as new copy, though purchased used. Clean, tight and square, as if unread. The dustjacket is near fine - bright and attractive but with some scuffing to the panels - most noticeable against the blue of the lower half. 314 pp., indexed, some black and white photos. A history of the lower Boise River Vally, originally issued in 1976 with the American Bicentennial.

A near fine copy with the only noticeable flaws being minor shelf-wear to the top corners and spine tips. Internally clean and tight, as if unread. The dustjacket is very good but with some matching bumping to the upper corners and minor scuffing to the panels. 248 pp., indexed, black and white photos throughout. Difficult to find in hardcover.

Staple-bound paperback in good condition. Bending to the corner tips, minor scuffing, and edge-wear to the covers. Staples are still firmly bound and the book is clean and bright. 32 pp., tri-tone illustrations and photos throughout, brief references section. A history of the famed Yellowstone hotel, nicely signed by the author.
