A good copy but with wear to the cover edges and bending to the corner tips and spine ends. Some soiling and stained spots to the cloth covers and the gilt lettering is brighter in some spots than others. Small tear to the cloth at the upper front joint, and mild fraying at the corner tips. Interior is much better. Previous owner's name and date neatly to the front free-endpaper, binding and hinges are solid though lacking tightness. Pages are age-toned, but clean and unmarked. 613 pp., black and white plates throughout. A strange mix of travel, history, and Biblical creationism.

Signed and inscribed by the author on the free endpaper, "Bishop Mark Hurlye - To the successor of Bishop O'Connel in the counties of Del Norte, Siskiyou (crossed out), Humboldt, Mendocino, and Lake. John T. Dwyer." A good copy - blue hardcover with silver spine titles. Corners and spine ends bruised past the paper coverings. The interior is unmarked other than the author's inscription. Solid binding and hinges, though lacking tightness. The dustjacket is only fair with paper loss , tears, and tape reinforcements to the inside of the jacket. 302 pp., indexed, some black and white photos, and listings of bishops and pastors from the region. An interesting examination of Irish Bishop O'Connell and his work in the west.

A very good copy of this scarce title with bending at the spine tips and two spots of mild discoloration to the covers - one spineward on the front cover, visible in the photo and one beneath the titles on the spine cap. Previous owner's name neatly to the top of the front pastedown, otherwise and unmarked copy. Hinges and binding are solid. 235 pages.

A very good copy, clean and square, with minor wear at the heel of the spine. Solid binding, an unmarked copy. The dustjacket is also very good, with a bit of ruffling along the top edges of the panels and minor soiling to the joints. 248 pp., an interesting look at proclaimed divine law from a seated member of the Massachusetts bar. An unusual book of Christian legal interpretations.

General crinkling and thumbing to the low quality paper. Interior clean and unmarked. Binding is solid, but some looseness at the front hing where the webbing meets the covers. 96 pp., a sweet little book outlining the lessons to be learned from the life of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus, Maid of Lisieux.

Los Angeles: The Universal Fellowship Press, 1977. First edition thus. Paperback. Fair. Green paperback in fair to good condition. Weakness to the binding, especially at the last gathering, and heavy wear to the cover edges. Previous owner's name neatly crossed out in black sharpie on the half-title next to a stamp of a teddy bear, and "Borrowed by" and "When" neatly printed on the inside of the rear cover, otherwise the text is unmarked. Pages somewhat browned, again more pronounced toward the rear of the book. 134 pp., a religious but moderately supportive examination of homosexuality with a handful of black and white photos. Inscribed at Old Economy July 31, 1954 Christiana F. Knoedler." Old Economy refers to Old Economy Village, now a National Historic Landmard that preserves the commune's history. Blue hardcover , only fair condition with the "remains" of a dustjacket included for completeness. Wear and deterioration to the spine tips and corners, and some dark staining to the boards. Binding is intact but lacking tightness and the book lays flat open with no effort. Previous owner's bookplate to the paste-down, otherwise an unmarked copy. The dustjacket is torn in half at the front joint, but all pieces are present, tattered and torn. 160 pp., indexed, some black and white photos. An interesting look at properous commune, originated from the Lutheran Separatists.

New Jersey: Fleming H Revell Co, 1978. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good +. Tan hardcover 1st edition in dustjacket. Signed and inscribed twice on the first blank by the author, "To Vera, God bless you in the love of Jesus, our saviour, Sincerely, Dale Evans Rogers." and "Thanks for ministering to my grand child, Mindy! Dale." A very good copy with bending at the lower corners and spine ends. Text is clean and unmarked and the binding is tight as if unread. Unclipped jacket is good with chips and short tears at the edges and folds. 135 pp., another one of Dale's religious books geared at the bettering of society.

Mexico: Instituto Evangelistico de Mexico, 1974. Paperback. Fair. Text in Spanish. Small paperback in fair condition with heavy wear at the front hinge/joint and the front cover and first page loosely attached. Lengthy previous owner's gift inscription to the front endpaper. Some soil to the yellow covers, and wrinkling/edgewear. "Yo sol la luz de mundo" written in blue ink on the rear cover, and some small marginalia to the text. The binding is intact but it feels very loose and temporal. 91 pp., the history of the Instituto Evangelistico de Mexico.

London: Williams and Norgate, Limited. Hardcover. Very Good. Cloth hardcover with beautiful printed design to the covers and gilt spine lettering. This appears to be a privately rebound copy with professionally reinforced hinges - a very well done binding. No statement of year or edition. Lower corners bumped. Text is unmarked but for a penciled "Vol. I only" to the front free endpaper, and a red block stamp to the title page with Asian symbols and hand written numbers. Some very minor darkened spots scattered through the text. Overall a very attractive copy of this scarce text. 410 pp., indexed.

California: Theosophical University Press, 1960. Hardcover. Volume 1 only of a two volume set. Reading copy only. Red hardcover with gilt spine titles, in dustjacket. A good copy but cocked forward. Bending at the cover corners, and light edge-wear all around. A small dot of soil to the top text-block edge. A small number of underlined portions toward the front of the book in pencil - but mostly unmarked. Unclipped jacket is also about good but with chipping at the corners, light soil and edgewear,, and a sticker scar and short tear to the rear panel. 628 pp., volume one of Blavatsky's best known work.

San Francisco: Harper & Row Publishers, 1985. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Signed without personalization on the title page, "Amor a Dios! Noel Francis Maholy, O.F.M." Hardcover, 1st edition, in dustjacket. A very good copy - clean, straight, and tight. The only noticeable flaw is a raised ridge on the spine column from binding - no splits or breaks in the text. The dustjacket is not as good with chips at the panel edges, a short tear to the bottom rear panel, and a couple of long creases - still bright and attractive. 224 pp., indexed, black and white photos and illustrations throughout. A detailed history of Serra's work in the founding of the Caliifornia missions, written prior to the public controversy resulting from the destruction of native culture.

Berlin, 1843. Fair. Original 1843 printing, text in German. 16 pages with no covers or boards, tape bound at the spine. Ex-Library from two seminary libraries with a stamp to the front indicating withdrawal, and a rear stamp with the library collection written in black ink. Heavily warn and soiled on the outward facing pages with crinkling and staining resulting from the lack of covers. Minor foxing. The corners and edges of the pages are worn, with paper loss at the top of the last pages, not impacting the text. Last few pages are dog-eared. The paper is clothlike and a bit limp. Translated loosely to English, this piece is the "Sermon at the ceremonial funeral of our immortal reformer Dr. Martin Luther's held on February 22, 1546 in the Castle Church in Wittenberg by Bugenhagen."

Signed and inscribed by faith healer Don Stewart of "Power and Mercy" on the front free-endpaper, "To Don & Dorothy Lewis - Thanks for praying me (sic) - I am praying for you. Don Stewart Isa 40:8." A good copy of this tan cloth hardcover. General shelf wear to the boards and some bending at the spine ends and corners. Two spots of light paper scuffing on the pastedowns as if the jacket had been taped on loosely. Text is clean and unmarked other than the author's inscription, and the binding is solid. The jacket is not as good with chips and tears at the edges, crinkling, and some paper loss at the heel of the spine and the top edge of the front panel - sun browned. 236 pp. Stewart is well known as a televangelist and purported faith healer, with ties to the A.A. Allen Miracle Valley association.

Portland: Dynagraphics Inc., 1994. Paperback. Very Good. Trade paperback in very good condition - a clean copy with minimal wear to the edges. Binding tight as if unread. Unmarked, 35 pages of text plus many b/w photographs of the church and it's history.

New York: Association Press, 1912. Paperback. Fair. Black imitation leather binding with gilt titles. A fair copy with the spine covering coming loose along the whole of the front joint. Wear at the corner tips and light soiling to the covers. The interior is much better, clean, solid and unmarked. 235 pp., a devotional book originally put out by the YMCA board.

Tan cloth hardcover, lacking dustjacket. A good only copy with staining and darkening to the light cloth covers, and a small roundish scar to the bottom of the rear board, spineward. The interior is much better, clean and unmarked other than the author's inscription. Hinges are solid, binding lacks tightness. 93 pp., a strange little book - part family story, part biblical adages, idioms and commandments. A remnant of the "way things used to be."

Kessinger Publishing. Reprint. Paperback. Good +. Oversize paperback - a Kessinger Reproduction/Reprint publication in used condition. Good+ with signs of reading. Edges and corners bending lightly upward and outward. All pages clean and unmarked and the binding is solid with no creasing at the spine. 101 pp., reproduced from the 1904 pressing of this title.

Wisconsin: Order of the Eastern Star of Wisconsin, 1960. Paperback. Fair. Blue paperback in fair condition only - heavy wear at the base of the spine with paper split. Previous owner's name to the top of the front cover and the title page. Staining to the upper corner of the front cover and the center of the rear cover from moisture, bleeding through to the last couple pages of the book. Binding feels a bit wobbly but intact. Two tears to the upper corner of the first two pages. 324 pp., photos of all the members in their fancy attire and full of annual reports. An interesting timepiece in spite of its condition.
