Kuzmin was a psychology professor and the creator of the first ever laboratory of social psychology (in 1962) in the Soviet Union. In his Basics of Social Psychology Kuzmin touches on the subjects of the main Socialism ideas - collective labor, free education, etc. - and their effects on people's psychology. Even though the book was printed in an edition of 10 000, OCLC does not list a single copy in major libraries and institutions.

Foredge of covers and corners rubbed; slight darkening to outer margin of boards; pages clean. During Communism, the governments in the Eastern Bloc often printed similar materials in order to justify their spending, as well as to keep up the moral of the masses. OCLC lists only one copy at the National Library of Israel.

First edition in this format reprinted and translated from the Iskra Period; volume 4 of the Little Lenin Library; 8vo; pp. [6], 7-175, [1]; publisher's list of Marxist books to back cover; original printed paper wrappers; small spots of foxing to covers; a few crease lines to corners; age-darkening in places; some wear along edges of spine and wrappers; penciled-in notes and underlining to first half of the book; corners of the first 14 pages slightly bent. The series of writings in this book were considered by the Russian Bolsheviks to be some of Lenin's outstanding revolutionary works. The articles were mostly based on the victory of Marxism over the Russian intelligentsia's Populism, which Lenin branded "an utopian perversion of Socialism.

The pamphlet was printed for the Joint Celebration Meeting to mark the centenary of the birth of Lenin. The speeches were compiled by Leonid Brezhnev, the General Secretary of the Central Committee (CC) of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU), presiding over the country from 1964 until his death in 1982.

First edition, 8vo, pp. [2], 3-125, [2]; original wrappers; mimeographed text; minor wear and dulling to covers; bottom page edges with scattered red spots; two small vertical cuts to head and tail of spine and a slight creasing. This work was prepared for the 17th World Congress of Sociology in Varna, Bulgaria, September 14-19, 1970. The publication was largely based on extensive comparative studies of the labor force in the Soviet Union and these in the United States and the Western European countries. It was aimed at "building a system of optimal models for planning the Socialist economy." There were only 500 copies ever printed and OCLC cannot locate a single one in libraries and institutions.
