Same volumes have lacks of marbled paper on front and back boards. This famous Glazunov edition of the complete works of Ivan S. Turgenev, printed on high-quality paper, was published in 1883, the year of the writer's death.
The first complete edition of Turgenev's collected works was issued by the publishing house of I. Glazunov in 1883, the year of the writer's death. Only six months later, in the spring of 1884, a second edition had to be printed because the first printing had already sold out. The complete set is very beautiful and rare. At the beginning of the first volume is a portrait of Turgenev engraved on steel at the artistic establishment of F. A. Brockhaus in Leipzig. Binding: Contemporary or near-contemporary half leather over marbled paper-covered boards; spine with simple gilt roll tooling. Binding worn, with rubbing and loss to boards, consistent with age and use.
Condition: Fair to Good antiquarian condition. Lacking the title page, a defect frequently encountered in surviving copies of Serbian books printed in the Habsburg lands during the late eighteenth century. Text block generally sound. Some edge wear, soiling, scattered foxing and staining, occasional creasing, and expected age toning. Engraved illustrations present. A solid and attractive survival of a scarce early Serbian imprint.

It contains 121,240 articles, 7,800 images, and 235 maps. It was published in Imperial Russia in 1890–1907, as a joint venture of Leipzig and St Petersburg publishers. The articles were written by the prominent Russian scholars of the period, such as Dmitry Mendeleev and Vladimir Solovyov. Here for sale is uncommonly met large set of 86 volumes in 41 books. Quarto. Original publisher's decorated cloth, embossed with ornamental design to upper cover and spine.
Binding worn with rubbing and fading, most notably to the spine; some fraying at extremities. Internally generally clean, with moderate age toning. Approximately half of the original tissue guards (protective overlays) are lacking. Plates complete as issued; occasional minor spotting and handling wear.

The study was published after the International Polar Year (1882), during which international efforts were focused on exploring the Arctic and polar regions. As part of its program, Russia undertook to establish two polar stations on its territory: at the mouth of the Lena River and on Novaya Zemlya. On September 30, 1880, the Polar Commission of the Russian Geographical Society appointed Nikolai Jurgens, a lieutenant of the Corps of Naval Navigators, as head of the Lena expedition.

Viktor Obninsky (1867–1916) was a Russian socio-political figure and a deputy of the First State Duma representing the Kaluga Governorate. In 1905, he was one of the founders of the Constitutional Democratic (Kadets) Party in the Kaluga region. He signed the Vyborg Appeal, for which he served three months in prison. As a publicist, he contributed to Russkiye Vedomosti, Vestnik Evropy, Golos Minuvshego, and other publications. "Olympus" is a thorough work by the historian and philologist August Heinrich Petiscus. The author managed to present extensive scientific material in an accessible format, which made the meaning of ancient myths clear and immersed readers in the era of antiquity. The book was written in 1821, and first published in Russia only in 1861. Petiscus's "Olympus" enjoyed constant success, the book went through several editions, constantly being supplemented and updated.
