Onslow Ford was born in England and later moved to Paris, where he became one of the youngest members of the Surrealist group. He moved to San Francisco in 1947. Nata Piaskowski was a Polish-born, San Francisco-based photographer who studied at the California School of Fine Arts under Minor White.
