Stated First edition. Cover has light wear at corners and more noticeable wear at bottom of spine. Inscription on the first blank fly-leaf page. Otherwise book is in Fine condition: tight binding, clean and clear pages, no tears, marks or foxing. Clipped Dj has small tears around edges and a small piece torn out (about 1/4 x 1/2"). Endpaper maps drawn by Baltimore Sun Cartoonist Richard Yardley.

Limited edition of 2,500 copies. Other than a small tear at the top of the spine, this soft cover booklet is in 'as new' condition. It was issued in conjunction with a 1982 exhibition of artwork by Hudson River School artist Worthington Whittredge (1820-1910). With an iessay by Cheryl A. Cibulka. The illustrated catalogue presents 43 pieces.

52 pages of text with 40 colored illustrations and a chart with data on hundreds of birds, followed by four pages of advertisements. Front page of dust jacket has separated from the cover. Both front and rear Dj had been tied to the book with a string. The string tied the pages, cover and Dj together. The binding of the pages is tight and made with glue. the string may have been added later.

From the Cameo Classics series. Book is in very good condition' although ex-library. Only three indications of it's library history. The number 811 is discretely marked in white at the lower left side of the front cover; the library stamp on the first fly-leaf page has been covered by two address stickers of a previous owner; and there are some slight/thin paper strips adhering to the inside back cover (probably from a library card holder that was removed). The cover shows almost no wear. The pages are clear and unmarked; as are about a half dozen interesting illustrations (un-credited). d

First edition. Book is in excellent condition for its age. light shelf wear some cracking between covers and first and last pages. Not marks, tears or noticeable foxing.

The inside front cover has sticker from the Westminster Presbyterian S. S. Library and the front flyleaf has the book plate from a former owner. The two front engravings do have foxing. Published in 1839 includes four steel engraved illustrations. 187 pages plus 3 additional pages advertising other books in the Rollo series and other "books for the young" Despite its' age, the book is in good condition. The gold title is still clear on the front cover and there is only very slight shelf wear on the cover. However, there is a tear at the top of the spine of slightly less than 1/2 inch. The spine is still tightly bound. The pages are in excellent condition, A previous owner's book plate is pasted on the inside front cover and a previous owner's name is written in black ink at the top of the title page. The printing of adjacent pages has left an impression on the front and rear fly leafs.

This appears to be a first edition that was rebound many years ago. The only publication date shown is 1808). The pages, binding and print are consistent with a 200 year old book. The front cover has separated from the binding. However, the cord binding is still tight. There is foxing on many of the pages; however, all the pages seem to be easy to read. There is a pull-down chart at the beginning of the book which is still whole with only light foxing. (see photos). The book is entirely in French.

Book is like new. Only fault we could find is that page 89, near the top right corner is creased from a fold. The author worte "Best Wishes" with his full signature and date 2003 on the first inside fly-leaf page.

However, the foxing does not seem to be on the cartoons, rather, it is visible in the margins, for the most part the lower margin.The bottom section of page 20 has been repaired . There is a small tear-out at the bottom corner of page 21/22 (about a half inch diagonal) There is a two inch vertical tear at the bottom of page 31/32.
