Very readable account of early English trade and activity in India..

A SCARCE title in its original cloth binding with a gilt title on the front. The cloth is faded and stained. It is also some loose on the boards, with pin hole insect damage to the paper within. I suspect the book was in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) for some decades subjected to that unfriendly climate. Pages 69 with index. Folio, almost 13 inches tall..

Volume two has a good dj, worn, with a piece missing from the top of the spine. A tear is repaired on the verso. A very readable, optomistic history from just after WW Two. The publisher's flimsy slipcase is in remarkably good condition with edge wear. Pages 573 and 503.
