A reasonable copy - edges a bit darkened but the block is reasonably fresh, no owner names etc. A touch of sunning to the backstrip near crown where the dustjacket is chipped. The dustjacket flaps are intact - that's the good news. Otherwise, badly chipped despite numerous sellotape reinforcements on the inside. Very badly chipped and in poor condition overall.

A wonderful refashioning of the dramas as stories which remain true to the original spirit of the plays. Exquisitely illustrated by Michael Foreman who has SIGNED the title page. Corners of the lower cover bumped, spine tips pushed a little but a lovely copy of a great book.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1951. No Binding. Fine. A superb, cinema-used lobby poster for the 1951 re-screening in Helsinki of the 1935 Clark Gable film China Seas, with Jean Harllow and Wallace Beery. Standard Finnish A2 format, approximately 40 cm width and 60 cm in height. Artist-signed in the plate (Engel). In superb used condition with folding crease to middle and just single pin holes to each corner. One very small tear to left-hand edge affecting only the border. A remarkable example which - were it not for the pin-holes - you might have believed to have been un-used. The accompanying image does not quite capture the blue-ish tinge to the print which makes it even more attractive in person. An outstanding item of authentic film memorabilia.

SIGNED & doodled at the half-title by Bob Geldof.

A Very Fine condition, Finnish, cinema-used lobby poster for the 1950 Italian adventure film, Lo sparviero del Nilo (Hawk of the Nile in English), starring Vittorio Gassmann, Silvana Pampanini & Folco Lulli. A First Screening poster. Measures 40 cm by 60 cm approx. Printed by Salonen Oy. Fully illustrated but no artist signature. Condition: C8, Very Fine condition. One very tiny pinhole to each top corner, one to bottom middle only. Some creasing, really only noticeable from the verso unless under very close inspection. Otherwise Very Fine condition - no edge-wear at all. A beautiful, vivid, colourful poster. For best appreciation of condition please examine the high resolution image which accompanies the listing.

No Binding. Very Good. A slip of paper (5" x 3" approx) signed and dated by the actor John Gielgud with a quote from Walter de la Mare's poem, Fare Well - "Look thy last on all things every hour" (sic) below. A nice item.

San Francisco: Synaesthesia Press, 1997. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Fine. Chap book in which Barry Gifford recalls a visit to see Willlam S. Burroughs at the Bunker. Hand-sewn wrappers with die-cut cover, pp. 4, illustrated by Billy Childish. One of 26 lettered copies from a total edition of 176. Signed by both the author and artist at the title-page and includes three additional woodcuts created for the book by Billy Childish - these are enclosed in an envelope laid in. All presented in a larger, illustrated manilla envelope which shows minor creasing, the book itself and prints are in immaculate, Very Fine condition.

London: Michael Joseph, 1968. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. First Printing. The novel upon which the 1970's horror movies WILLARD - and its sequel, BEN - were based. An uncommon title and this is a pleasing copy. IN the publisher's black cloth with gilt titles at the spine. Square and tight with reasonably sharp corners, the most minor of creasing to the spine tips. There is some off-setting from the dustjacket flap to the front endpaper and pastedown and a hint of spotting to the top edge (pages not affected). Otherwise, free from previous owner names, library markings etc and a VG copy. The dustjacket is also in great shape with some tanning to the top edges of the flaps and rear panel but with no nicks, tears or loss of any kind - unclipped and unfaded, a Near Fine, bright dustjacket.
