The gilt spine title is no longer visible.but the spine is not faded.This is a watershed book in investing and a must for the serious collector of early investing techniques. The author contrasts investing in bonds and why stocks should be a long term consideration for investing. While it is a small book, the ideas were revolutionary. It explains investment theory and practices from the Civil War to the turn of the century. This is a true first edition as there is a copyright date and electrotyped published date of December 1924. Macmillan published the book in 1925.This is a classic and rare book.

The author updated new singing technics around breathing methods. The appendix to this new edition has a number of revelations.
