Portrait frontispiece of Joannes Robin, engraved architectural title-page with portraits of C. Celse and M. Lobel and an illustration of the Jardin du Plantes in Paris, and 47 (of 73) full-page copper engraved botanical plates. Also lacking the portrit of Vallet. Paginated 1 to 49 in old manuscript ink. Binding rubbed with loss to upper and lower covers. Spine worn with some loss at head and foot. Title label to spine cracked with some loss. Some discolouration from glued boards to end papers, intermittent light spotting throughout, dampstain towards outer vertical margin in some seventeen later leaves. One of 2,500 copies (this copy unnumbered). 16 monochrome lithographs along with a 112 page booklet housed in a grey labelled folder, as new in original publisher's slipcase. "This is to certify that this numbered set of sixteen lithographic prints, the De Luxe edition, is available only by subscription; it is printed on 300 gsm Canaletto paper measuring 297 x 219 mm and is accompanied by the first English translation of the original French text. This edition is limited to two thousand, five hundred copies...". When the two illustrated volumes of Nous deux, a fictional amorous correspondence between student Nelly and her teacher Jean, first appeared in 1929, they included no indication as to who had written it, who had illustrated it, and where and when it had been published. A set of eight lobby cards from the film 'Octopussy', directed by John Glen, and starring Roger Moore, Maud Adams and Kabir Bedi. Colour lithographic images on medium stock measuring 28 x 36cm, with production credits to lower margin and lower left-hand box. Presented in a black cloth-covered chemise case with gilt titles to spine. A fine set. Note on Format: the Lobby Card is a small poster or titled still printed on card stock, usually 8 x 10 inches (UK and Europe) or 11 x 14 inches (US) in a landscape view. Generally produced in sets of eight in colour for Britain and America, intended for display in a cinema foyer or lobby.

[Rome?], 1774.. Original etching with engraving (70 x 97 cm) printed on two conjoined sheets of laid paper (overall sheet size 77 x 103 cm). Very good condition. A spectacular engraved view of St. Peter's Basilica designed and engraved by Giuseppe Vasi in celebration of the Jubilee of 1775 called by Pope Clement XIV the previous year, depicting the Vatican Basilica, Pontifical Palace, and Bernini's Piazza San Pietro. It is dedicated in the title to Henry Benedict Stuart, Cardinal Duke of York, who at the time of the print's creation was recognised by the Roman Church as the rightful second in line to the British throne under the Jacobite claim. The view shows Bernini's collonade to full effect, even allowing the edges of it to be cut off by the border of the plate, increasing the sense of the vastness of the space.
