Description:
The ABC or Alphabetical Railway Guide was a monthly railway timetable for the United Kingdom. It was perhaps more popular than other contemporary manuals as the alphabetical organisation facilitated ease of consultation. This is the September 1946 edition. It includes a map of Scotland that is unattached. It is also provides an interesting insight into social history via the various advertisements.
This edition is in very poor condition. The back cover has separated, though it is present, and there are torn and unattached pages. It would perhaps be a useful source for scrapbooking or other decorative or crafting projects.

Description:
Achilles' Navel is a collection of poetry by Canadian poet, author, and artist Doug Fetherling, who has played a significant roll in Canadian literary culture. He used the name Doug Fetherling up until 1999, when he began publishing his work under the name George Fetherling.
This volume is in very good condition. The only significant issue is that it is missing the title label which should be on the front cover. There is a tear to the paper cover on the bottom of the spine and a small dent to the top edge of the back cover. The pages inside are entirely clear and bright, and the text is clear. The binding is also tight.

Description:
This is a two volume set of the first books in Coventry Patmore's The Angel in the House, The Espousals and The Betrothal. Better known than the later volumes, in these volumes Patmore espouses in verse his conception of the ideal Victorian woman, based off of his first wife. The work provides fascinating insight into ideas of gender roles and relationships between men and women in the Victorian Age.
This edition of The Espousals was published in 1856 and The Betrothal in 1857. Both volumes are in Fair condition, with significant wear to the cloth covering the boards. There is also significant bumping to the corners. There are long stretches along the edges of the covers where the fabric has worn away entirely, and there is some discolouration to the fabric on the covers. However, they still present and attractive embossed design on both the front and back covers. The Espousals appears to have possibly had a page cut from the very front, but fly leaves and the title page are still present. Both… Read More

Description:
Kenneth G. Mills began his career as an acclaimed concert pianist, before receiving inspiration that led him to devote his life to the production of spiritual insights that he said came from the heart. Anticipations is the second volume in a trilogy of books of his best poetry, drawn from the almost 3000 examples of his spontaneous musings. Many of these were also set to music and performed by the Star-Scape Singers, a choir that Mills himself formed. The text is accompanied by beautiful line illustrations.
This copy is in near fine condition, though it is missing its dust jacket.
