The majority of the plans are from the first phase of building in the early 1930s. In red cloth, corners lightly bumped, a little worn at head, blind tooling to edges, with a circular blind stamp to upper cover. Spine has titles in gilt, edges a little bumped, lib ref nos at base. Internally, bookplate of Chelsea library to fpd, [8], [1], 2-130 pp, [1] advert, 6 pls (maps), label remains to corner of bp, library stamp to verso of tp, and then at half title and ep, blind stamp to corner of plates. Harker whose major theoretical suggestion was that the general character of different regions of igneous rocks might be related to the tectonic environment-the conditions of temperature and pressure under which the rocks were formed.
