S." and back cover has date of 1806, vibrant marbled endpapers with the front one having a minor corner missing, nice quality paper with watermark and chain lines still visible, back cover has some sort of split-open box attached, introduction loosely translates to "Great praise and good wishes, and be assured that I am eternally your respected brother, Joseph Scheller, Regensburg, Year 1806", many friendship entries in German along with some beautiful hand-drawn and sometimes colored illustrations, in very good + condition. Beautifully structured and original book.

Marbled paper over boards, title label on spine slightly chipped, some foxing throughout, page edges wavy, beautiful paper shows chain lines and John Henry Nash watermark, in near fine condition. This book was composed by the senior students of the class in typography, John Henry Nash Fine Arts Press, at the University of Oregon Introductory note by Arnold Bennett Hall. Education and the State contains the only unpublished manuscript left by the University President, Prince L. Campbell, who talks of his faith in the people of Oregon, the philosophy of society in which he believed in and impressed the thousand of students who came under his influence (from the introduction).

Maroon leather over boards with gilt stamped design on cover, gilt title on spine, black and white illustrations throughout, in fine condition. (Bradbury, Levien 37)This little book is a short story about Elizabeth's marriage to Robert Browning and her most famous poem that starts, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways". First printing under the imprint of Trader's Press in New York from 1967 - 1969, Jack R. Levien then moved to Holland and published under his own name from 1970 - 1972. In those six years, he published 46 miniature books.

Interior has some stains throughout and small amounts of foxing but is overall very bright and clean with many colorful illustrations by Miriam Story Hurfurd. Very good condition.William S. Gray developed the Curriculum Foundation Series of books for Scott, Foresman and Company. His vision was to tie "subject area" books in health, science, social studies, and arithmetic (each discipline having its own series of graded texts also published by Scott, Foresman and Company) with the vocabulary mastered in the basic readers, thus vastly improving readability in these same areas.
