Originally appeared in “Millers New Miniature Atlas” ca1821, Darton & Clark later acquired the plates and subsequently published in “Reuben Ramble’s Travels through the Counties of England.” 1845-50. Designed to educate children, these maps are hard to find in good condition.

Watendlath Tarn sits in a wonderfully wild location at the head of a classic hanging valley on the eastern side of Borrowdale.
