Description:
This is the 4th printing of William Morris utopian novel, 'News From Nowhere', printed in March 1892. The First edition was printed a year earlier in march of 1891. In the novel, the narrator, William Guest, falls asleep after a Socialist League meeting and awakens in a future society characterized by common ownership and democratic control of production. It is an agrarian society that functions smoothly because people derive pleasure from nature and, therefore, from their work. Very Good Condition. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to front board and spine. Exlibris plate to front pastedown. Binding is firm. Pages are clean with light tanning and foxing. More pronounced foxing to title page.
