Nurnberg (Nuremberg): Monath und Kuyler, 1818. 1st Edition . Soft cover. VG- for age and genre. Limp thick black (outside) card, clean and seems to be original publisher's issue binding, unlettered, outer corners sl. cured and bottom sp. rubbed with short split bottom fr. joint, short greenish strip around top sp. (3.5. cm long). Coloured f/piece (4 potatoes) + x (but unpaginated after vii) + 151; generally tight, clean and unworn but light tanning and numerous tanning spots intermittently throughout, and outer corners all a touch rubbed. Text all in Fraktur font. T.p. text extends a further 6 lines plus a note above imprint which I baulk at trying to transcribe. Apparently rare though reprinted in 2012. While obviously primarily about potatoes 'Erd = oder Grundbirnen' seems to mean 'root vegetables' as near as I can guess, since 'birnen' trans. as 'bulbs'. 10 cm x 17.5.
