A nice copy. An original summary of features essential to all Vedanta starts the book and the comes an explanation of the distinctive dimensions of each school. Prague: Emna. Good with no dust jacket. 1941. Softcover. 66 pp. Octavo. Pale red card wraps (with flaps) that have faded to salmon, sunned at spine and edges. Some corner curl and general aging but otherwise clean and unmarked. Scarce 2nd edition (1st ed of 1941 scarce as well) of Zavrel's "Poems of Love and Death." Zavrel was by reports a dreadful playwright but how his poems are I don't know. He was a fascist, joining "The Flag" (Vlakja) -- the fascist party of Czechoslovakia. His fascist ardor dimmed slightly when he discovered he had Jewish ancestry, but he did not do well after the war and was investigated for being a collaborationist. Although never convicted, his money was confiscated and his health suffered greatly. Interior floral endpapers of the period with wear at the gutter, webbing showing, crude tape repair at back gutter, plates are clean and unmarked. Not a perfect copy but certainly a scarce one!
