An anthropological Synoptical Almanac covering a range of personal and business census information for the area. A very uncommon book with only six identified in OCLC. From Morse Code to translating gold weights to vessel arrival and departures, public servants by name and their salaries, rate charges for public transportation, Directory of Churches, Associations and Societies. New York: Press of the McWilliams Printing Co, 1889. First Edition. Gray stippled covers with sewn in pages, now top bound by tape at the top into a library cover. Very good. 5.75" x 9', 15 pp. Ex-Long Island Historical Society with associated stamp and embossment. Bound into cardboard covers, Washington and Benjamin Harrison portraits on back cover. Souvenir gives the itinerary for the festivities, historical data on U. S. Presidents and Generals, and concludes with several pages of advertisements for New York businesses. None in retail and one copy in OCLC at time of this writing. Some light chipping and creasing to wraps. Pages toned at edges and light edge wear, overall sound historical memorial. "The President, the Vice-President, the members of Cabinet, the judges of the Supreme Court...and other notables from Washington will arrive at Elizabeth port about nine o'clock on the morning of the 29th.

SIGNED "Lady Bird Johnson" neatly across her custom book plate. 6.25" x 9.35 [viii] x [2] 3-806 with 36 pp. of B&W photographs. Clean, square copy with a few spots on fore edge and bottom corners. DJ has a few closed tears along top edge, now well protected in a mylar cover. One of America's most beloved First Ladies, she put her imprint not only on the White House but the beautification of American Hiways. "This was one of those incredible days that would make a book. Lyndon had agreed that we should invite all the astronauts' families, wives and children to spend the night at the White House." (p 288).
