The publisher's blurb declares this book ''faithfully reproduces all details of his drawings as well as of the various kinds of paper on which they were dawn. To retain the quality of the often fragile originals, the greatest care has been taken to reproduce all the marks of the architect's work: his handwritten notes, erasures and corrections as well as the patches and tears that resulted from the constant handling of these original drawings in his daily work.
