The volume on Henry VIII is also the second printing, with the first being published in 1934. Written by Sir Kenneth Pickthorn, a British academic and politician, who was a fellow of Corpus Christi College and a lecturer of History at the University of Cambridge. These works document the influence of Henry VII and Henry VIII as part of the government during their reigns. This includes the Defender of the Faith act, as well as laws on commerce and war. With a pencil inscription of Murray Lawrence, of Trinity College Cambridge, to the front endpaper. In the original publisher's smart red cloth binding.
