The first edition of this fascinating work, being an account of the different colleges in Cambridge by Joseph Wilson. With a biographical sketch and portrait of the founders and important men, with anecdotes, antiquities, histories, and views of the colleges.Including colleges such as St. Peter's College, Clare Hall, Pembroke College, Caius College, King's College, and many more. An excellent copy rebound in smart boards with bright and clean pages with only the odd spot. Rebound with very smart green and grey boards with titles on a white label to the spine and new endpapers. Externally excellent with minor shelf wear only and only a minor mark to the rear board. Inscribed by a previous owner to the front free endpaper, with some neat contemporary annotations to the very occasional leaf. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with only the faint odd spot to the title page and page 1. Very Good Indeed
