Clean and secure in original dark blue cloth binding with bright gilt lettering at spin in very good dustjacket Essays on Tennyson, Jane Austen, Shelley, Coleridge, Keats and Shakespeare, among others. Dark blue cloth, gilt bright on spine in very good dustjacket with a chip at head of spine and a shallow chip at base of spine. Bradley was professor for poetry at the University of Oxford and member of Balliol College. Essays include: 'English Poetry and German Philosophy in the Age of Wordsworth,' 'Odours and Flowers in the Poetry of Shelley,' ' Jane Austin,' 'Keats and Philosophy,' 'Scene Endings in Shakespeare,' 'Feste the Jester,' etc. A very nice example of this scarce Bradley first edition. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years. Over those many years we have taken great pleasure from satisfying our customers' eclectic literary requirements in the shop and hope to continue in that tradition now that we have moved our operation on-line.Currently, our catalogued inventory includes about 4,000 books from the sixteenth century through the twentieth century in a variety of subject areas.
