About This Item

London: George Bell and Sons, Ltd, 1871. Second edition. Well illustrated with 72 fine colour plates (engraved and printed by Benjamin Fawcett), large octavo, pp viii, 192, a couple of hinges slightly weak early on, leading to a couple of signatures being proud on the fore-edge, very occasional light fox spots, one facing tissue creased, maroon blind-stamped cloth, gilt-decorated on the upper cover, very slight signs of wear but overall a remakably good copy externally.. Second edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good.
