Pages clean, off-white. Cloth over boards is faded in on spine and at top with gilt lettering, colorful design. Similar lettering and design on spine are darkened. Bumped corners, general shelf wear. Collection of eight of Dunbar's poems, presented in "Negro dialect": The Deserted Plantation, Hunting Song, Little Brown Baby, Chris'mus is a-Comin', Signs of the Times, Time to Tinker 'Round, Lullaby, A Banjo Song. Pages decorated by Alice Morse, whom he married in 1898. ; Ex-Library; Photographs; 8.75" tall; 125 pages.
