Russian born Serge Andolenko, served admirably as French military officer, rising to the rank of brigade général of the French Army. "A passionate historian, he was renowned for several publications on the French Army and the Imperial Russian Army." Work covers all infantry regiments, including infantry of the foot hunters, the Zouaves, the foreign legion, the Moroccan riflemen, the African light infantry and the Moroccan Goums. Mild dust foxing on top edge of page block, gilt bit dull, else fine, clean, bright, unmarked. A beautiful copy.. 1st. Hard. Near Fine/No Jacket. Folio.
